The Role

From a Payroll & HR Systems perspective, they hired one of Sydney's most highly reputed senior payroll Director's: a genuinely inspiring & empathetic leader, who has a seat at the table with the c-suite, to deliver a best in class function that de risks the payroll process through automation & seamless data integration.

Due to the commencement of a project to transform their current systems architecture, they are urgently looking to hire an Operational Payroll Supervisor to manage the weekly payroll, while the incumbent is seconded onto the project for up to three years.

You will lead the talented weekly payroll team who are based in their stunning Sydney Head Office - adjacent to the CBD - and also interstate.

Key deliverables with this role:

  • Look "under the hood" of the existing system - Chris 21 - to stabilise data integrity, troubleshoot compliance errors and drive continuous improvement in the existing BAU process, while the transition to the new payroll systems is delivered.
  • Navigate the function, key business divisions, and the team through this period of change
  • The team are highly competent & tenured; they need a leader who will respectfully listen to their challenges and provide valuable solutions utilising their extensive knowledge & deep subject matter expertise on Chris 21
  • Compliance SME; extensive exposure to the application & integration of EBA's
  • Seasoned leader who can build credibility with an existing team through respect & offering fresh perspectives & ideas, bringing them on the journey, while focusing on personal development
  • The ability to work within existing systems; be able to implement efficiencies & audit controls within existing manual systems framework

This is a role that requires someone who will be ride a period of significant change; not afraid to be hands on, but also be an exceptional communicator who is focused on seamless, upstream communication. Due to the nature of the role, extensive exposure to Kronos/UKG & Chris 21, is essential.
