AccountAbility are pleased to be working with a leading education provider based in Sydney CBD to recruit for a part time credit controller on a 6-month contract. This role will be working in a standalone position 3 days per week in the CBD office 1 day per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly Provision for Doubtful Debt journals for all companies, utilizing credit control backup data.
  • Conduct monthly Accounts Receivable (AR) Risk Analysis to assess new clients and establish appropriate payment terms.
  • Generate a monthly Zero Allocations Report for the Assistant Accountant to update the finance system.
  • Manage the monthly Great Plains Ledger processes, including the removal of paid transactions for statement distribution to creditors.
  • Oversee monthly debt aging reports for creditor statements.
  • Execute monthly write-offs of bad debts.
  • Conduct credit risk assessments for new and existing corporate clients, advising business managers on payment terms.
  • Produce reports on risk levels for new clients and make recommendations for onboarding.
  • Upload AR comments into XLR to maintain an updated creditor database.
  • Chase debts internally, including from sponsored students.
  • Perform intercompany corporate account reconciliations.
  • Raise invoices and process refunds as needed.
  • Assist corporate clients with account reconciliations for internal audits.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new finance processes.
  • Provide support across the Finance Team during absences.


Qualifications and Skills:
Essential:

  • 1-2 years of experience in credit control.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel at an intermediate level.
  • Initiative to identify and complete tasks independently.


Desirable:

  • Experience identifying and implementing process changes.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new systems as needed.
