We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Payroll Officer to join their team on a 6-month contract basis. This role offers a unique opportunity to manage a standalone payroll function in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Role Overview:
As a Senior Payroll Officer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the outsourced payroll for 200 employees. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of payroll processes, while also addressing payroll-related queries and maintaining comprehensive employee records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing: Prepare and process outsourced payroll for 200 monthly employees, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Record Management: Update and maintain employee files, ensuring that all information is accurate and current.
  • Query Resolution: Address and resolve payroll-related queries from employees and stakeholders in a professional and timely manner.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external payroll service providers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Compliance: Ensure payroll processes comply with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Reporting: Generate and analyze payroll reports to provide insights and ensure accuracy in payroll processing.
  • Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and addressing any discrepancies.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of more efficient payroll procedures.
  • Training and Support: Provide guidance and support to staff on payroll-related issues and procedures as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Officer or similar role, preferably in a standalone capacity.
  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficient in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
