We are seeking a Payroll Specialist that is ready to step into a leadership role while expanding expertise in system implementations. This role is ideal for someone passionate about payroll that is skilled in handling high-level investigations and escalations and eager to grow into a Team Lead position.

Key Responsibilities:
- Managing end-to-end high-volume payroll ensuring seamless pay cycles
- Assist with payroll system implementations and process improvements.
- Support the Payroll Manager in reviewing and overseeing payroll processing.
- Ensure payroll accuracy, including calculations, PAYG, and payroll tax lodgements.
- Handle escalations and complex payroll issues.
- Train, mentor and develop the payroll team.
Requirements:
- Solid experience in end-to-end payroll processing.
- Strong problem-solving skills for investigations & escalations.
- Skilled in navigating complex payroll situations.
- Deep knowledge of ATO legislation related to payroll.
- Interest in payroll system implementations and process improvements.
- Leadership potential - someone eager to step up & mentor others and guide a team with confidence
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solution-focused mindset.
