About Byron

​Born in Malaysia, raised in China, I then completed my Bachelors and Masters in Australia and went on to work in Singapore and Australia. My recruitment career started in internal HR in 2014 and then transitioned into agency recruitment in 2023. Having experienced recruitment on both fronts, I can better grasp the needs of Talent Acquisitions and provide a tailored service and perspective to hiring the right candidates.

I approached AccountAbility because I heard positive feedback from multiple candidates and I knew that this organisation had cultivated an honest culture in its people – I had to join them! Since I started agency recruitment in Melbourne I specialised in accounting and finance, and business support accounting roles, both on a temporary and permanent basis. I have assisted MNC and SME businesses across a variety of sectors.

Outside of Work:

My favourite activities are hiking, bushwalking, and badminton – all manner of sports are good really - if someone invites me for yoga, I’ll be there! If I’m not playing a sport, I am most likely indoors with my mates having hotpot and playing boardgames.
