THE CLIENT
A fast-growing FMCG organisation is seeking a skilled Payroll Manager who is hands on with end to end payroll processing but also who will have fresh ideas and strong leadership skills. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Payroll Manager that requires excellent communication skills and extensive experience in end-to-end payroll management, particularly with weekly payrolls. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone ready to step into a management role, with the authority to implement process improvements and potentially change payroll systems.

- Oversee the payroll process for 350 weekly employees using Micropay
- Supervise and support 2 payroll assistants, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in payroll processing.
- Award Interpretation and overtime allowances.
- Act as the main point of contact for escalations, providing strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Perform PAYG, tax, and superannuation calculations.
- Identify and implement process improvements, including potential system upgrades and going out to market for suitable vendors in the future
- Provide leadership and guidance to the payroll team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- End-to-end payroll experience, ideally within weekly pays and managing PAYG Super and Tax
- Strong communication skills for dealing with employee queries.
- Ability to interpret awards and manage different overtime allowances.
- Leadership experience is ideal, but candidates who can demonstrate the ability to step up will be considered.
- Strong interest in process improvements and the ability to identify and implement new system solutions.
- Familiarity with Micropay is ideal but not essential.
- Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
- Hands-on approach with a willingness to be involved in all aspects of payroll processing.
